Gilbert Lamps
Don’t be fooled! This one looks like you would be buying a pair of Hartland Rearing Mustangs on a base, but the horses are only 7.5" tall instead of the normal 9" of a Hartland piece. The plastic feels a little thin and cheap and the paint job on the white horse is really poor. The wood base is actually made of plastic! These things show up on the online auctions listed as Hartland pieces, but at least now you will be better informed. Also, watch out for a similar lamp with a Clydesdale horse—very similar to the Clydesdale Hartland made for Budweiser.
