Mint in the Box Hoby Gilman Set

I’m not sure I have ever seen a boxed set that is truly Gem Mint. This one, recently purchased by Larry Hyatt, fits that category. Until Larry opened it, this set had never seen the light of day! Fortunately, Larry documented the occasion with these photos for us to see.

According to Larry, “This was better than Christmas morning, because you really appreciate it now.”

As you can see in the the box photo above, it is almost perfect and crisp. When he opened the lid, the parts were the first things he saw—still sealed in the clear plastic bag of course. Under that—a few layers of tissue paper.

Once the top layer of tissue paper was removed, the figure appeared which was sitting on the saddle protected with more folded tissue paper. There was another layer of tissue paper between the figure and the horse below.

Finally, the horse appears along with the tag.
