Marching Angel/Cherub Band
|
 |
This festive group of 12 Cherubs came as a set. I haven't seen them listed in catalogs until the early 60s. Occasionally, you can find them for sale individually for around $6-$7 on eBay. Sande Schneider has a full set still in an olive drab box and cardboard liner.
Most I have seen have been pink figures on white bases. I have included a painted set at the bottom which seems to be original factory paint.
Each Angel/Cherub is about 2.5" tall, marked "Hartland Plastics, Inc., Hartland, Wisc."

1963 Maid of Scandinavia Cat., Angel Band
This group of twelve pieces was sold unpainted for $1.85. It appears the violin player has black hair in this photo, but it doesn't seem they shipped him that way. The set is called an Angel Band here, but most people call them Cherubs. |

Painted Marching Angel/Cherub Band

 |
| This appears to be a factory paint job from all I can tell. If so, they would certainly be an uncommon find! |
