Mission Supply Order Forms & Mailers

Mission Supply House, located in Floral City, Florida, sold replacement parts throughout many of the years Hartland Plastics sold Western and Sports figures. In a phone interview with Rita McGuire, she told me the company was started to allow her father, Albert Rosier to make some money while recovering from a heart attack. Rita was married to Hartland executive Bob McGuire. The Hartland company was getting what they called "nuisance" letters from collectors who had lost their little pistols, knives, feathers and small parts and wanted to purchase replacements. To solve a couple of problems, Bob McGuire brought a pile of spare parts and handed the stack of letters to Rita's father. He began to get fairly busy with them and started up his new little company knowns as Mission Supply House. That was sometime after 1955. In 1982, Rita bought the remaining inventory from her father and ran the company for roughly ten years. She has since sold Mission Supply to her brother Joe. (Thanks again to Bruce Schwartz for sharing these pieces!)

1959 Mission Supply Mailer:
This sheet shows Mission Supply selling all the current sets, plus the replacement parts. Orders for lamps could also be placed through them, though the actual pieces would be shipped directly from the Hartland factory.

1962 Mission Supply Mailer:
This set of sheets is dated by Ruth R. Rosier, President of Mission Supply House.

1963 Mission Supply Gold Mailer:
This mailer is dated Dec. 1963. By the time Mission Supply was mailing this sheet, it was running out of many of the Hartland western sets and had begun filling their inventory with Breyer, NY-Lynt and other venders.

4 Page Mission Supply Mailer:
While a few Hartlands are still listed on the order form, the bulk of this mailer showed Breyer sets and also listed NY-Lynt sets

Mission Supply Mint Green Mailer:
This mailer was probably sent out in 1965 or 1966 following the introduction of the Wranglers in 1965.

Mission Supply Mailer:
This appears to be a regular Hartland consumer brochure, but on closer inspection, it must have been pasted together from several others. Using the consumer brochures as a guide, this one was probably used in 1967 or 1968.

1967 Mission Supply Mailer:
This mailer is exactly the same as #26 consumer brochure. In the lower right corner of the brochure, Mission Supply House rubber stamped their name. I suspect there would have been an accompanying price list when this sheet was mailed out.

circa 1968 Mission Supply Mailer:
There is no date on this sheet, so I'd just have to guess it followed the piece above.

Mission Supply Black and White Mailer:
More than likely, this mailer followed the one above, with several of the Hartland sets missing.

Mission Supply House 10 Page Booklet
Mission Supply House Booklet:
This 10 page booklet mailer contained a generous supply of Hartland sets, along with quite a few Breyer sets. Since there aren't a lot of 800 series Horse and Riders, I'd say it is from 1962-1963 or later.
