  Unlike the figure
above, I do know where this one came from. According to the small
text at the bottom of the card, it was made by Ohio Plastic Company
from Frazeysburg, Oh. There is no date on the card that I can
find. The removeable saddle is missing from this set. The figure
is an obvious knock-off of a Hartland Champ...or maybe a knock-off
of a knock-off? The horse seems to be a knock-off of a Marx stallion.
Both have a very cheap feel. The hat has to be the most ugly
thing I have seen with a horse and rider statue, except maybe
the Lido Jane Larriet. According to the card, there were three
different horses: Black Fury No. 61, Palomino Pal No. 63, and
Bronze Beauty No. 62. |
