I zoomed in on the sets in the top photos and enlarged them so we could get a better idea of his new treasures. He had told me about getting a Bill Longley set on that Christmas day which came with a WHITE HAT. Well, there it is in the photo on the right! You can’t ask for much better proof than that. It is obvious by the other sets that he had the correct hats on them, so this simply can’t be a case of getting the pieces switched around over the years.
